Vice President of marketing

The Vice President of Marketing reports to the Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President, External Affairs and is responsible for developing and supervising all aspects of marketing and sales for the Harris Theater including advertising, public relations, media relations, print and publications,  graphic design, digital marketing, patron services and social media.   This highly visible position is also responsible for developing and implementing image and branding strategies to develop awareness of the theater and its mission, locally and national, while expanding audiences for the theater’s performances and events – both resident company and Harris Theater presented. The Vice President of Marketing is a member of the theater’s senior leadership team and must be an effective communicator with a passion for music and dance performance in a nonprofit setting.

director of pr and communications

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales, the Director of PR and Communications will lead the strategy and execution for public relations to promote Harris Theater Presents performances, artistic collaborations, and performance series.  In addition, as the primary publicist will work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop and implement communication strategies using traditional PR, social media, and other current technology to broaden the impact of Harris Theater mission, brand, and community engagement activities. 
 
The Director of PR and Communications is responsible for developing and nurturing press/media relations, with the strategic goal to attract new audiences and support ticket sales and promotions. Additionally, the Director of PR and Communications will provide counsel and support to resident companies.

Development and community engagement internship

The Harris Theater seeks an undergraduate or graduate student interested in a career in non-profit and/or arts administration for an internship supporting its Development and Community Engagement departments. The intern will work alongside professional staff of the Harris Theater, gaining insight into what it takes to run a successful presenting organization and world-class venue.
