River North Dance Chicago presents the Company Premiere of Daniel Ezralow’s SUPER STRAIGHT is coming down — a fiercely physical, urban meltdown of epic proportions — along with the Harris Theater premiere of Charles Moulton’s Nine Person Precision Ball Passing, a classic performance piece based on highly synchronized and precise movement.

Artistic Director Frank Chaves also reprises two acclaimed works — his cool, jazz tribute to Miles Davis, Simply Miles Simply Us; and Al Sur Del Sur, the stunning suite of Argentinean tangos by Sabrina and Ruben Veliz.

Additional selections from RNDC’s acclaimed repertoire include:

• Evolution of a Dream, a full-company re-envisioning of one of RNDC’s classic and signature works “Reality of a Dreamer,” created by Co-Artistic Director Emerita Sherry Zunker in 1992. The piece is set to a new version of the original song, “Sweet Dreams,” by co-composers Annie Lennox and David Stewart as performed by His Rock Fabulous Orchestra.
• Fixé, a revival of Artistic Director Frank Chaves’ first choreographed duet. It is a haunting, animalistic and other-worldly pas de deux. Set to music from Cirque du Soleil, this performance is both elegantly romantic and abstract.
• Train, choreographed by Robert Battle, Artistic Director for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. This commanding and bold work is an abstract ritual in three parts set to a percussive live recording.
