Ballet Chicago’s 2025 Balanchine + Beyond Spring Repertory series showcases four exquisite ballets. The program features two masterpieces by George Balanchine: Serenade, set to Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in C Major, Op. 48, and Rubies, set to Stravinsky’s dynamic Capriccio for Piano and Orchestra.
Also on the program are works by Resident Choreographer Ted Seymour: his vibrant Danzón! set to music by Arturo Márquez, and the premiere of a new children’s ballet performed to music by William Grant Still.
