About the Resident Company Program
The Harris Theater was founded in 2003 to fulfill the city’s need for a shared home for small to midsize performing arts organizations. Today, 30 Resident Companies reflecting the diversity of art, culture, and ideas coursing through Chicago call the Theater “home.”
Our Resident Company Program provides small to midsize Chicago-area nonprofit performing arts organizations with a subsidized rental rate, functional support from our team of experts in production, marketing, and front-of-house operations, and state-of-the-art equipment so that each company can present at the highest and most accessible caliber. We add further value for our Resident Companies through community-building and educational opportunities like our Learning Labs, HT Open Houses, and the Committee on Resident Companies.
If you are interested in joining the Harris Theater as a Resident Company, please contact Emily Macaluso, VP of Operations and Production & General Manager, at emacaluso@harristheaterchicago.org.
