Performance Run Time: Approximately 60 - 75 minutes, no intermission.

Chicago jazz vocalist Dee Alexander and tap dancer Jumaane Taylor collaborate, bringing Alexander's It's All About Love and Taylor's Supreme Love to audiences for the first time on the Harris stage — just in time for Valentine's Day.

Jumaane Taylor’s Supreme Love celebrates 60 years of John Coltrane’s prolific record A Love Supreme and 10 years of the performance the Chicago Tribune reviews “hits on all cylinders.”  Accompanied by a live quartet and performed by six tap dancers, this piece offers “an irresistibly intimate look at both art forms [music and tapping]” (Chicago Tribune).

Dee Alexander performs her sensational It’s All About Love, an exploration of long form composition and jazz improvisation. Alexander is joined by pianist Miguel de la Cerna, bassist Micah Collier and drummer Charles Rick Heath IV to create a potent, expressive, and original sound.
