Handel's beautiful retelling of the story of the virtuous martyr Theodora and her Roman protector Didymus. A world-renowned cast—Sherezade Panthaki, Iestyn Davies, Allyson McHardy, David Portillo, and Jonathan Woody—joins the Chorus and Orchestra for a rare performance of the composer's personal favorite oratorio.

Currently celebrating its 54th season, Music of the Baroque’s professional chorus and orchestra is one of the leading ensembles in the country devoted to 18th-century music. The ensemble has drawn particular praise for its performances of the major works of Bach, Handel, Mozart, and Haydn.
